Preschool Painting and Cutting

We have been working hard learning colors and mixing colors to make new colors. Painting is a fun way to mix colors.

I have been working on teaching Little Bug to use scissors. We have been practicing cutting this week. The photo looks like he has the correct idea holding scissors but he still can not open and close them with out some help.

We have not started teaching correct pencil grip. That is on our schedule this spring. If you know a good technique in teaching scissors skills please share with me. It has been ages since I have taught this skill.
I found a great website with a large selection of free to print cutting skill worksheets on Pinterest. Just select the pin below to get started.

I agree! Mixing paints is a great way to learn new colors! I used to give my girls coupons to learn their cutting skills. They thought that was a riot lol.

Thanks for stopping by Theresa's Mixed Nuts. Happily returning the follow!
